Volunteer Grants for Community Clubs

The Volunteer Grants for community clubs are now open again. The grant is supplied through the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FAHSIA), and is designed to assist and enhance the role of volunteers in community organisations.

In 2009 WA Football received a club level funding boost of nearly $120,000 through the Volunteer Grants program.

Volunteer Grants 2010 provides funding between $1,000 and $5,000 to help non-profit organisations to:

- Contribute towards the costs of training courses for volunteers and/or undertaking background screening
checks for volunteers; and/or

- Purchase portable, tangible, small equipment items to help volunteers; and/or

- Contribute towards fuel reimbursement for their volunteers, including those who use their cars to transport
others to activities, deliver food and assist people in need.
